FAQs

Tips for Burning Our Candles Safely and Efficiently
Our candles are crafted without paraffin, soy, or any harmful chemicals. We use non-bleached lead-free beeswax dipped cotton wicks or crackling wood wick to ensure a clean burn. To maximize the number of hours your candle burns, we suggest trimming only half of the wick if it looks too long, and keeping an average-sized flame on the first burn. It's important to closely monitor the candle while it's burning, place it on a heat-resistant surface, away from children and flammable objects, and follow safety instructions. Some candle makers may recommend burning for only one hour during the first use.
Do you use Paraffin (Petroleum), Soy or Toxins in your candles?
Candle Elegance handcrafted formula are made with 100% USDA Certified Organic and plant-based ingredients! Our candles are made without paraffin, soy, or toxic chemicals.
What kind of wicks do you use? We use non-bleached lead-free beeswax dipped cotton wicks or crackling wood wick.
How can I maximize my burn hours? To maximize burn hours, only trim half of the wick if it appears to be too long, aim for a relatively average size flame on the first burn, and monitor the candle during lighting sessions. Always place the candle on a heat-resistant surface, keep it away from kids and flammable areas, and follow safety instructions. Some candle makers may recommend 1 hour for your first burn and we say yes when you see a edge to edge wax pool at the top.
When do I trim my wick? It is recommended to trim your wick to 1/4 inch before each burn to prevent excess smoke and soot. After the first burn, ensuring what candle makers call pool forms across the top layer, full surface area, trim the wick if it appears too long. Make sure to wait for the wax to cool and harden before trimming. It is recommended to trim your wick to 1/4 inch after the first burn, once the wax has hardened.
How do I know when my candle is finished?  When your candle has about 1/2" of wax left, it is time to stop using it.
What can I do with my elegant empty glass candle jar? You can up-cycle the glass jar by placing it in the freezer for 24 hours to remove any remaining wax, then cleaning it with soap and water. The glass jar can be used to store items such as pens, makeup tools, or even a small plant.
Candle Elegance glass vessels can be used as beverage tumblers but it's recommended to hand wash them and not put them in the dishwasher. Some limited edition candles are dishwasher safe on the top shelf, but they can also be used for other things like bar collections, glassware, succulents, storing pens and makeup tools.
